Welcome to the Cabarrus County Medical SocietyMission Statement: The object of this society shall be to bring into one organization the physicians of Cabarrus County so that, by frequent meetings and full and frank interchange of views, they may secure such intelligent unity and harmony in every phrase of their labor as to elevate and make effective the opinions of the profession in all scientific, legislative, public health, material and social affairs, and to be active in public relations to the end that the profession may receive the right respect and support within its own ranks and from the community to which its honorable history and great achievements entitle it; and with other societies to form the N.C. Medical Society and through it with other associations, to form and maintain the American Medical Association.Membership Requirements: Every legally registered physician residing or practicing in Cabarrus County who is of good moral and professional standing is eligible for membership. Additional Information: Our monthly dinner meetings are held at Cabarrus Country Club. Recent speakers have included Lynne Safrit speaking about the Murdock Project in Kannapolis, and Dr. Allen Dobson speaking on Medicaid and the state of health care in North Carolina. In addition, CCMS participates as a major sponsor of the CCMS Alliance Charity Golf Tournament, which benefits the Cabarrus Health Alliance School Nurse Program, and sponsors a scholarship for a student at the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences.
